The Wait is Over
It is really hard to see the differences in this outdoor picture between the Encore and the KnitPicks greens. But trust me, the KnitPicks is perfect. The exact shade of green that I was looking for. And I guess it isn't that big a deal to me that it won't be machine washable. Colleen will probably use it more for decoration anyways...
I also bought some of this to make a pair of socks:
Now the knitting can begin.

That is a lovely shade of green, and YAY for new yarn. Have fun!
So yummy! What do you have in mind for the Knitpicks? I need to try some of their sock yarn but haven't had the chance yet.
Rachel,
The green KnitPicks is for the Sheep Dreams blanket I am making for my best friend Colleen's baby who will be here in September.

I've used their Wool of the Andes before, but this will be the first time with their sock yarn, and frankly, only the second pair of socks I've ever knit. Well, actually the first pair. The last [and first] one never got a mate because I was being so hard on myself about it. I was looking at it today and it really wasn't that bad. I probably should make the other one to have to wear around the house when my feet get cold--which is like, always!
I've been scouring the web trying to find this pattern!!! The sheep are just adorable! Can I find it online or in a magazine or book? I can't wait to see how yours turns out. Good luck!
